Chemical Peels

Chemical peels rejuvenate the skin by using specially formulated acids to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin. By removing dead or damaged skin cells, chemical peels stimulate cellular turnover and promote the growth of new, smoother, more even-toned skin.

Chemical Peeling

Chemical peels come in varying strengths—light, medium or deep. Peels can help improve fine lines, acne, sun damage and uneven texture.

  • Chemical peels work to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new, healthy skin. They smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots, and remove sun damaged skin. Some peels also improve acne.

  • You are a good candidate for a peel if you are interested in skin renewal, improved texture, and even skin color. Peels can also treat active acne breakouts.

  • Your skin is prepared with a pre-peel cleanser to remove any dirt or oils from the skin. Then,  the chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing it to exfoliate and eventually peel off.

  • Your recovery time depends on the strength of the peel. You can recover from a superficial peel in  24 hours or less, but deep peels can require up to 21 days to heal. You may need a series of 3-5 peels to get the best results (especially from superficial peels). Results are best maintained when combined with a consistent home skin care regimen.
