Meet Dr. Stephanie Myracle
Stephanie Myracle, MD, FACMS, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained, board-certified Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. After 14 years in practice, she founded Carolina Skin Institute. Dr Myracle is passionate about providing personalized expert-level dermatology care for the communities in Western North Carolina.
Dr. Myracle grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa. She received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. She completed an internship at Duke University followed by residency training in dermatology at UNC Chapel Hill. Following residency, Dr. Myracle moved to Pennsylvania where she completed her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs Micrographic Surgery) with Dr. Victor Marks at Geisinger Medical Center.
She has a passion for learning, research and teaching. She was a fellow in the Beckman Scholars program at the University of Iowa followed by a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She has been appointed as adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina Department of Dermatology, teaching both medical students and residents core dermatology concepts. She has authored several articles in national dermatologic journals. She is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the International Peeling Society.
In addition to her passion for dermatology, Dr. Myracle enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her husband who is a physical therapist, and their two children. Her hobbies include reading, mountain biking, trail running, and skiing.
